The Pet Pals Club is a hands-on learning program specifically designed for animal lovers between the ages of 10 and 15.
The Pet Pals Club meets at the Champaign County Humane Society on either the 2nd Tuesday (Group 1) or 4th Tuesday (Group 2) of each month from 4:00PM - 5:30PM. Each club meeting will include an instructional presentation, discussion, and/or activity on an animal welfare or animal sheltering topic. There will also be opportunities for club members to interact with the shelter animals.
Pet Pals Club programs are supervised by CCHS staff members so that parents or mentors need not be present. The cost of a 3-month membership is $35 per member (includes a T-shirt) and pre-registration is required. There are Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter memberships taking place from March-May, June-Aug, Sept-Nov, and Dec-Feb, respectively. To enroll, please call 217-344-7297 or stop by the shelter and speak with a staff member about enrolling in the Pet Pals Club (payment required at time of enrollment via cash, check, or credit card).
Questions about the Pet Pals Club and enrollment may be referred to Elijah Imlay (elijah@cuhumane.org).
