Consider Two Cats

Because two cats are better one!

For those of us who love felines, age makes no difference. In an animal shelter, healthy kittens tend to steal the hearts of visitors and get adopted very quickly.

But cats over one-year-old are often at the shelter for weeks, just waiting to be discovered. If your heart breaks for these mournful full-grown felines, you might have a mind to make a big impact, and consider getting two adult cats.

A generous donor and long-time owner of two-cats-at-a-time, Shelby Stifle, not only encourages this type of thinking, she and her husband Jack are willing to fund it! Shelby and Jack established the Ms. Garbo Fund to help families adopt two adult cats by covering the adoption fee for the second cat.

CCHS has many felines in its care. If you're opening your warm and comfy home to a cat, consider getting two. Our staff will help you select a bonded pair or two well-socialized cats that have a history of happy interaction with feline housemates.
