CCHS has an open full-time position for an Adoption Supervisor. The Adoption Supervisor trains and supervises the Adoption Staff; sets the standard for customer service at the humane society; and develops and implements pet adoption processes and programs.
Hours will include weekend days, some evenings, and some holidays. Pay range is $17.00 - $21.50 an hour.
Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Supervisory experience
- Experience handling animals
- Knowledge and/or experience related to pet ownership and pet care
- Friendly and outgoing
- Effective communicator in person, via email, and over the phone
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, learning new software, and performing accurate data entry
- Social media/marketing experience a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Train Adoption Department staff for all tasks related to interacting with patrons, processing adoption applications, answering phones, preparing the building for opening, and all other duties required of Adoption Department personnel.
- Mentor Adoption Department staff on customer service skills.
- Foster a collaborative work environment with Adoption Department staff and between Adoption Department and all other CCHS departments and volunteers.
- Develop systems for processing adoption applications in a timely manner and ensuring that the Adoption Department’s daily tasks are completed properly.
- Promote pet adoptions through social media, adoption promotions and other promotional opportunities.
- Track adoption statistics and create reports to assist CCHS in identifying trends, measuring success, and decreasing length-of-stay of adoptable animals.
